Corkscrew is a major move used in flips,martial arts.it is a move that captures people attention more than backflips. It is performed by taking a few step in form of a j-step and kicking up with your kicking leg as you would do for your gainers.you wanna kick towards your opposite shoulder and wait to set in the air ,then jump off your supporting leg that have being on the ground. Try to raise your hip up during this process,turn as fast as you can towards the opposite shoulder you kicked to and lay parallel in the air.turn with your whole body and spot your landing behind you.land on both feet or on the supported leg you jumped up with... It requires dedication  and more practice to learn this move. You will get with time and you will see its easy.

Step 1)
Start with a little stepping on both feet like three step out in a j form.











Step2)
After three successive step out towards your side plant your support foot on the ground and start kicking towards your opposite shoulder














Step3)
After you must have kick up as in the above pictures, wait and set your hip high in sky and jump off your support leg




Step4)
After jumping off the support foot turn your head towards your opposite shoulder and try to b parallel or at angle to the ground.

Step5)
Spot your landing behind you and plant your foot. The first to land is your support foot. Land it first or land the two feet together. That's corkscrew.








After you have learn this move you can go for. Hyper corkscrew which you over rotate and land on the kicking leg instead of the support leg. Then you can go for doubles.
Make sure to practice on soft ground .gym is a good example. you can look for sand areas like beach to practice on if you Don't have an Acces to the gymn.
